The Board for Information Technology Education Standards (BITES) - is an autonomous non-profit society set up by the Government of Karnataka, IT industry and academia.

BITES strives to enhance education standards in Information Technology by disseminating information, accrediting educational institutions, and offering educational support services for updating IT skills, including certification courses and teacher training programmes.
